About Our Office
Location and Accessibility
Our office is centrally located in Manchester's business district, easily accessible by public transport. We're situated on the ground floor with wheelchair access and accessible facilities.
The building entrance is on Wellington Street, clearly marked with our signage. There's a small reception area where you can wait comfortably before your appointment.
What to Expect
When you visit, you'll meet with one of our experienced advisors in a private consultation room. We understand that discussing financial and personal circumstances can be sensitive, so we ensure confidential, comfortable surroundings.
Please bring any relevant documentation with you, such as previous benefit correspondence, medical evidence, or financial statements. However, don't worry if you don't have everything - we can guide you on gathering missing items.
Parking Information
Street parking is available on Wellington Street and surrounding roads, though spaces can be limited during peak hours. We recommend the NCP car park on King Street, approximately 3 minutes' walk from our office.
Public Transport
We're a short walk from Manchester Victoria station (8 minutes) and Shudehill Interchange (5 minutes). Multiple bus routes stop within 2 minutes of our office, including services 8, 36, 37, and 135.
The Metrolink Market Street stop is approximately 10 minutes away on foot.

Frequently Asked Questions
While we offer drop-in hours on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, we strongly recommend booking an appointment. This ensures an advisor is available and has adequate time allocated for your consultation. Appointments can be made via email.
Yes, we offer remote consultations for clients who cannot easily visit our office. When booking, simply mention your preference for a phone or video call. We use secure platforms to ensure confidentiality during remote consultations.
Bring any relevant documents such as previous benefit correspondence, medical letters or reports, proof of income, bank statements, tenancy agreements, and identification. If you're missing certain documents, don't let that stop you from attending - we can advise on what's needed and how to obtain it.
Absolutely. Many clients find it helpful to bring a family member, friend, or support worker. Having someone with you can provide emotional support and help you remember important information discussed during the consultation.
Initial consultations typically last 45-60 minutes. This gives us time to understand your situation thoroughly and provide comprehensive advice. If your case is particularly complex, we may schedule additional time or a follow-up appointment.
We understand that circumstances change. Please email us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. We request at least 24 hours' notice where possible, as this allows us to offer the slot to someone else who may need urgent assistance.
Emergency Situations
If you're facing an immediate crisis such as imminent eviction, complete loss of income, or a benefits sanction that's left you without money for essentials, please mention this when you contact us. We prioritize urgent cases and can often arrange same-day or next-day appointments for genuine emergencies.
While we work to help as quickly as possible, please also contact your local council's emergency support services if you need immediate food or shelter assistance.
